This is a serious condition that may lead to heat stroke if left untreated.
Well, almost two months ago, my body began to suffer from this malady, but having not experienced anything like it in the past, I was perplexed. It took awhile for me to self-diagnose. Everyone, including doctors will tell you to stay hydrated, but what happens when the body does not assimilate the fluids? I still don't know the answer to that question. However, I can tell you my symptoms to make you aware of this potential condition that can lead to brain damage and death. My body suffered fatigue; adrenal glands took a serious dive in functioning. Nausea, fever, kidney failure that resulted in several UTIs within a 2 week period. In addition to this, I lost my appetite and became very weak. The doctor's office did not listen to me until I told them I needed to go to the Emergency Room. The following day I was given only one liter of saline without any change or improvement. So I went to the ER on my own where they administered another liter of saline along with medicine to treat the nausea. It changed the nausea feeling to upset stomach...not much difference. All of this suffering taught me to get electrolytes, minerals and some water. Too much water can be harmful to the body, but coconut water is a good one for hydrating. Stay cool and healthy!
